Ive Just discovered I can add a title

Im back from holidays and have worked through some of those online wikis
They are great! I especially like the library success wiki and have added that to my favourites
its so easy to spend hours and hours just reading because you know that somebody else just like me has put that information up there. its not some corporate business with no face its such a more personal way to pass information across to each other
I can really see how libraries could use wiki's to share information from a formal intranet with a whats happening or latest news focus to an informal guess which website i found type of wiki, the possibilities are endless.

The strange thing is everybody is such a good speller.

Hello All,
I am about to take some time off work so i thought i would write up a quick message to say how much fun i am having learning about all these new technologies.

Today I signed up to all these interesting RSS feeds about some very different topics and I hope to be able to check in on them regularly.

I can certainly see the advantage to using these to keep yourself up to date with everything that is new.

I have to say I enjoyed looking through the flickr photos so much that i have headed back there a couple of times when I think of other photos i want to see.
It is really useful when you want to get a feel for a suburb in sydney or a specific nightclub in the city.

I am looking forward to learning about wiki's next week as I have always been an advocate for wikipedia as a source of information...well most of the time

bye for now

Some photos that I thought were pretty cool...
Hi again,
I have been finding it quite difficult to find the time to work on and play around with this blog and program generally. I think i need to improve on my time management skills!
I have decided to designate an hour on Friday afternoons to work on my blog and try out my new skills.
Anyway, it is great to finally have a blog to unload all my thoughts and ideas onto the world. somehow making them more important if everyone else has to listen to them.
It is great to have something new to think about and learn instead of the same old same old.
Exploring Flickr this week was great, my boyfriend has recently purchased a new digital camera and I can now understand how there can be so many photos in the world. Since you don't have to worry about developing every photo you do tend to go a bit overboard and taking photos of strands of grass in different lights becomes quite natural...right?

Hello and welcome to this blog, this is my first blog so you must forgive me if i ramble.
I started this blog as part of a training course to help me learn about everything the web has to offer. So far blogging has been fun and easy to learn. The training program - Web 2.0 - is showing me how great it can be to use this new internet technology in my workplace. I hope that at the end of this training I will be able to use this technology easily with very little hassle or heartache.
As the name suggests this blog is for those people who love to read, not just a little, but a whole lot.
Enjoy reading my rambling and please feel free to ramble yourself if the mood takes you
